Fundraising may seem scary, but there are many amazing people in the front office that are ready to help you. You should start by going to the front office and asking for a generic fundraising form. This is what you will eventually turn in to an administrator to allow them to approve your idea.
It is very important that you wait for your form to be reviewed and approved before beginning any kind of advertising. You should have a meeting with an administrator before advertising your project around the school.
Be sure that any kind of flier you create is stamped by Ms. Symmes. She is right by the Principal's office in the front office, and she will be able to pass your flier off for approval. Creating fliers to post around the school is a great way to advertise once you have been approved!
For day of money management: be sure that you have had a conversation with Ms. Megan Crickenberger, our bookkeeper. If you let her know that you are selling something at school, she will provide you with a money box in order to collect cash and keep it safe later. It will then be put directly into your club/organization account when you turn it into her afterwards. When collecting money, remember that as of now only cash or checks are accepted. Venmo and other forms of digital money transfer are not easy for the county to track, so we aren't allowed to use them for school fundraising purposes.
Overall, just be responsible and follow through with all of the steps! It is easy to fundraise when you communicate, so do your best, and ask questions when you have them.
